Come Sing with Us!
The Georgia Festival Chorus is a volunteer community ensemble performing a wide repertoire of sacred and inspirational music. We are an auditioned chorus with new member auditions in advance of each Christmas and Spring season.
Do you sing Soprano, Alto, Tenor, or Bass? GFC welcomes new singers in every voice part! Our greatest current need is for Tenors and Basses.
How to Audition
We’re so happy you are interested in joining our Chorus! Auditions take place prior to a scheduled rehearsal with members of our Music Leadership Team. Breathe easy, the process is relaxed and enjoyable! In addition to vocal exercises, you are asked to sing a well-known hymn such as Amazing Grace, or a short hymn of your choice in your chosen key.

Qualifications:
-
Have at least basic music-reading skills; most of our members are experienced singers.
-
Have a pleasant voice quality; be able to match tones and basic musical patterns.
-
Be able to commit to regular rehearsal and concert attendance.
-
Be supportive of the chorus through active participation, volunteerism, and concert promotion.
-
We look for a love of singing, the ability to work in harmony with others, and a willingness to dedicate yourself to choral excellence. Schedule a time today to meet with us!

We celebrate the end of each season with a potluck dinner on a Tuesday evening at Smyrna First Baptist Church’s banquet room for fellowship and recognition of our directors, officers, team leaders, and volunteers.
