The Georgia Festival Chorus is thrilled to feature local Atlanta soprano Tiffany Uzoije, in collaboration with Randy Romig on organ and piano, in three of the video vignettes for our 2024 Musical Advent Calendar this fall.
Ms. Uzoije has gained attention as a “tonally and technically impressive performer”. She has been praised for her “authentic and rich tone” as well as her “engaging stage presence”.
A graduate of Belmont University, where she trained under soprano Jocelyn Fisher, Ms. Uzoije performed with the Nashville Opera and was featured as the Strawberry Woman in a recording of Porgy and Bess with the Nashville Symphony, conducted by John Mauceri, for the Decca label. She furthered her studies in opera and vocal performance at The Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
Now residing in Atlanta, Ms. Uzoije frequently graces the stage at Atlanta Opera, with notable roles including Mrs. Charlton in Jake Heggie’s Dead Man Walking, Handmaiden in Turandot, and most recently, Annie in Porgy and Bess. Ms. Uzoije has performed two solo concerts with the Rome Symphony Orchestra in Rome, Georgia. She is featured regularly in recitals and other performances throughout Georgia.
Don’t miss out on the beautiful voice of Tiffany and our other planned musical treats in the 2024 holiday season! Sign up for GFC emails to receive our Musical Advent Calendar each day from December 1 to 24.
