Over the years, the Georgia Festival Chorus has been blessed to have two outstanding and dedicated collaborative accompanists perform with us on piano and organ: Cathy Adams and Randy Romig. During many past seasons, the Chorus conductors have asked them to accompany select choral repertoire with four-hand piano scores, including a portion of Brahms’ German Requiem, as well as numerous other selections, both from the Christmas season and general classical/sacred works, much to the delight of our concert audiences!
Cathy and Randy decided three years ago to offer a one-hour program of sparkling and inspiring music arranged for two people at one piano, known as piano four hands or à quatre mains. Program repertoire varies from Advent/Christmas to sacred to classical to pop/jazz to patriotic pieces. They have been performing these for church groups, retirement centers, and other venues as requested. All programs are offered with narrative about the selections to be performed, often with little-known facts that will delight and inspire the audience. Their programs can be tailored to fit the need of any group.
Ms. Adams and Mr. Romig are active musicians in Atlanta and the Southeast. She is in her 27th year as pianist for the GFC, while he is starting his ninth season with the chorus. For more information or to book a concert with this dynamic duo, please contact info@gfchorus.org.
Don't miss the opportunity to see and hear Cathy and Randy along with our 100-voice chorus accompanied by a brass quintet, percussion, piano, and organ this holiday season at our 2024 Joyful & Triumphant Christmas Concerts. Let every note elevate your spirit!
